Denmark aiming for gold again

On Saturday, Denmark reached the final of the 2019 European Mixed Team Championships. Tomorrow, the defending champion is facing Germany on home soil.
 
It just took Denmark three matches, to win the semi-final against the Netherlands on Saturday. 3-0 is the final result between the two teams in the end. 

Christinna Pedersen/Mathias Christiansen took the lead for the Danes after winning against Selena Piek/Robin Tabeling. Then, Viktor Axelsen was able to win against Mark Caljouw after three games. 

Finally, Mia Blichfeldt played the deciding match against her Dutch Women’s Singles opponent, Gayle Mahulette. After two games, Blichfeldt won and Denmark qualified for the final against Germany tomorrow. 

- I had the opportunity to win for the team and I took it. I am very happy to win for the team, Mia Blichfeldt said. 

The final matches between the Germans and the Danes begin at 2.00 PM (CET).  

- I expect tough matches. Germany has a good team, but we have the advantage that we play on home soil, Blichfeldt said.
