Badminton Europe Confederation would like to wish Hellenic Badminton Federation, a happy 30th anniversary.
The federation over the years has played a pivotal part in Badminton Europe’s efforts to grow the sport in Europe. There are 50 clubs in Greece and the Federation´s council consists of 11 members with Victoria Chatzina as the President and Panagiotis Exarchopoulus as the General Secretary.
From the President
- During these years our federation managed to expand badminton all over Greece. We succeeded through Shuttle Time to incorporate badminton at schools, we have school championships every year sponsored by the Ministry of Education.
- Also the last three years we organized the Military Games sponsored by Senior Council Army. We are realizing tutors courses through the Ministry of Education which take 6 months. On top of that, the participation of players and physical education teachers is most satisfying and our goal is to make badminton more popular in Greece, Chatzina added.

The federation turns 30, marking an incredible number of years in service, which began in 1989.
The federation has been involved in organizing several tournaments over the years. They organized the Hellas Youth International this year in May and two circuit tournaments (Hellas Open and Hellas International). They are one of few Federations to organize two circuit tournaments.
