Antonsen, Blichfeldt achieve career-best results

The 2019 World Championships are already in the history books. This week’s BWF world ranking list has some major changes for the European players in action last week in Basel, Switzerland. 

World silver medalist Anders Antonsen (Denmark) has moved four spots up to celebrate a career-best ranking position. The Dane is now in top 5 with 72949 points. 

-Another milestone reached. Things are moving faster than I expected this year, Antonsen wrote on his Instagram account.

Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen, who had to withdraw from the World Championships due to injury, has descended with one spot to stand on position no. 7.

In the women’s singles world ranking list, quarterfinalist Mia Blichfeldt has moved one spot up to achieve a career-best result of no. 11 with 55082 points. 
Other changes 

France’s Thomas Rouxel has moved four spots up, reaching the top 50 in the men’s singles. England’s Toby Penty has moved nine spots up and is now standing on position no. 54. CoE player Felix Burestedt (Sweden) has climbed the ranking list with nine spots to occupy position no. 73. 

In the women’s singles Lianne Tan (Belgium) is on position no. 48 after moving four spots up. Soraya De Visch Eijbergen (The Netherlands) has moved five spots up to occupy position no. 67.

Denmark’s Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen have moved four spots up to occupy position no. 21 in the women’s doubles ranking. England’s Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock have moved one spot up and are now standing on position no. 12, their career-best result being world no. 4.
