The Polish International came to a close on Sunday and it was a highly successful one for Danish players as they were ran out victorious in three of the five disciplines.

Firstly, in the men’s singles, where Mads Christophersen took home the title from Bierun. The number four seed was dominant throughout the entire tournament, dropping just one game in his five matches and the final was no different.

At the final hurdle Christophersen took on Bulgaria’s Ivan Rusev but the Dane was too strong, coming out with a 21-6, 21-14 victory to claim his first international title
ever.

Double title for Magelund
The tournament may have been successful for a number of European players but none more so than Denmark’s Amalie Magelund.

Magelund was able to claim both the women’s and mixed doubles titles in Poland in what was a hugely successful week for the Dane.

After opening up her finals day with two consecutive semifinal wins it was going to be a difficult task for Magelund to claim both titles against much fresher opponents but she still managed to come through with ease.

Magelund, firstly won the mixed doubles crown with partner Mikkel Mikkelsen (DEN) in a dominant performance as they ended the tournament without even dropping a game.

Later, Magelund added a second championship in Bierun after a back and forth counter with the tournament’s top seeds in Sweden’s Emma Karlsson and Johanna Magnusson. Her momentum carried her through however as Magelund and partner Freja Ravn took their third International Series win of the year together after victories at both the Swedish Open and the Dutch International earlier in the year.

Historic Result
There was some bad news for Denmark on finals day however as the men's doubles pair of Jeppe Bay and Mikkel Mikkelson lost their final to the English pair of Zach Russ and Steven Stallwood.

It was a historic win for the English pair who claim their first ever senior title together after a 22-20, 21-19 win in Bierun.

Welsh Winner

There was also joy for Wales as Jordan Hart claimed the women’s singles title.
Hart was Wales’ biggest hope for the tournament and she well and truly delivered with her fifth title of the year.

The world number 77 came through a tough, hour long match-up in the final where she managed to oust Denmark’s Irina Amalie Andersen 18-21, 21-13, 21-13.
