It is day two at DANISA Denmark Open 2019 and a lot of matches are going to be played.

It has been both up and down for the Europeans until now. But mostly down.

Selena Piek and Cheryl Seinen from the Netherlands are the first Europeans to win today. They won 21-17 21-17 against Hsu Ya Ching and Hu Ling Fang from Chinese Taipei.

The shuttles have been hard to control for some of the players which can result in a lot of mistakes.

- It was a tricky game. The shuttles are fast, so it is difficult to control the backcourt, Piek said.

- The shuttle was very fast so I could not play the way I wanted to. Also, her offensive was very good, and when I could not lift the shuttle as I wanted, it became difficult, Yvonne Li stated.

Love to play in Odense
A lot of the players love to play in Odense, Denmark. This is what Maiken Fruergaard , Yvonne Li and Selena Piek had to say.

- I love to play here. It is a big hall but not as big as in Asia. The crowd is also really nice, so it is sad that I do not get to play more this year, Li said.

- It is always fun to play at home. But there is also a big pressure to go in and perform, and when it does not go well it is not so nice to play here, Fruergaard mentioned.

- It is amazing. I have been coming here for several years now. I love it, I love the setup, I love the hall. You can see the crowd is also rooting for us. We appreciate that, Piek said.
