The German men's double has played their last match at Denmark Open.
Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel from Germany were facing the fifth seeded Hiroyuki Endo and Yuta Watanabe from Japan in the second round at Denmark Open.
The two first games of the men’s doubles were a real thriller. The Germans won the first game 21-19, but the second game went to the Japanese 22-20. Lamsfuss and Seidel could not keep up the game in the third, and Endo and Watanabe ended up winning 21-11.
- We were a little bit tired, so we could not keep our speed and they are just to safe, Lamsfuss said.
- We need to improve
When you are playing against some of the best men’s doubles in the world, you have to play your best all the time to win. The Germans agreed that they needed to improve some things to be able to defeat pairs like Endo and Watanabe.
- We need to be more aggressive to win the point and step more forward. The fitness also has to improve a little bit, Seidel added.
Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel will be playing French Open next week where they will be facing Han Cheng Kai and Zhou Hao Dong from China in the opening match.
