Final day at Fuzhou China Open

The final day at Fuzhou China Open 2019 has come to an end.

World number one, Kento Momota, has proven once again that he is the best men’s singles player in the world, after beating world number two, Chou Tien Chen in a three game thriller. The match lasted an hour and 23 minutes and both the players were showing off their best skills in order to get the title. The Japanese however, beat his opponent in the decisive game 21-18, after three close games.

The host nation, China, won two titles, as Chen Yu Fei defeated Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in three games: 9-21, 21-12, 21-18, in the women’s sigles final, another long singles final, this one lasting 82 minutes.

The mixed doubles final displayed a match between the two best pairs in the world, both from China - top seeded Zheng Si Wei / Huang Ya Qiong and their compatriots Wang Yi Lyu / Huang Dong Ping. This time is was the second seeded pair Wang Yi Lyu / Huang Dong Ping who clinched the title after a comfortable win, crushing their rivals in two games:  21-13, 21-14;

In the men’s doubles final, Japan's Takeshi Kamura and Keigo Sonoda were up against world leaders Kevin Sukamuljo and Marcus Gideon from Indonesia. The number one seeded Indonesians have proved that they are the ones to beat on the Tour, and today they were simply stronger than their Japanese adversaries and won the title in two fast, one sided, games, 21-17, 21-9.

The women's doubles is currently pretty much dominated by Japan and Korea, and today's final confirms that. Japan's Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota and Korea’s Lee So Hee and Shin Seung Chan were the contenders in the women’s doubles final in Fuzhou, and in the end it was the number two seeded Japanese pair who won the event in two games: 21-17, 21-15;
