Listen to the latest episode of the BEC Podcast with Canadian women’s doubles pair Rachel Honderich and Kristen Tsai.

It is not that often that we have non-Europeans coming onto the show. This week we have a pair from Pan Am chatting with us about all things badminton.

Currently ranked at number 22 in the world, Honderich and Tsai, are very busy playing on both the European and World Tour circuits. Talking about the miles they are putting in, Tsai says.

- It is exciting. For both of us, it is the first time going for the Olympics, so we are going to a lot of places and a lot of tournaments. To see all the different players from other countries and compete against them. I think it is really exciting.

- It is different now that we are chasing the Olympics. We have a big goal together, so we have been to Asia, Europe, Pan Am, anywhere and everywhere chasing our dream. It is cool to see the progression by gaining experience from all the different pairs, so it has been good so far, Honderich adds.

The 2019 Pan American Games and Pan Am Championship gold medallists also spoke about the difference between the World Tour and other circuits, growth in Canadian badminton, Michelle Li leading the way, coping with being with each other all the time, how they finance their badminton and their ambitions in the future.
