The former World Champion was too big a task for Welsh Jordan Hart.

After her first round win against Miranda Wilson, Jordan Hart told Badminton Europe that she was looking forward to playing the 2017 World Champion, Nozomi Okuhara from Japan. On Thursday she got the chance to play one of these matches, she for sure will remember, when she retires.

- There is only a handful of chances I will get to play against a player like that, so I am very grateful for this opportunity, Hart stated.

Grateful Hart
Okuhara, who is seeded second at Denmark Open 2020, took the lead from the very beginning, and Jordan Hart, who is ranked 71 spots below the Japanese on the world ranking did not get many chances in the opening game, which Okuhara won 21-6.

In the second game the picture was the same, and after winning 21-12, Nozomi Okuhara is ready for the Denmark Open quarterfinals, while Jordan Hart can start focusing on the SaarLorLux Open in two weeks from now.

- Of course there was no pressure on myself, but playing somebody with such a high standard, there is a constant pressure on the court, Jordan Hart said.

Nozomi Okuhara will be facing Danish Julie Dawall Jakobsen in the quarterfinals on Friday.
