Badminton Europe President, Peter Tarcala, is pleased to see that 21 Member Associations have already signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

In the last couple of weeks, 21 Member Associations have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Badminton Europe.

The Badminton Europe President, Peter Tarcala, signed the deals with the Austrian and Czech federations during the 2021 European Mixed Team Championships Qualification in Linz, Austria, and he is pleased to see that Member Associations on all levels are signing the agreement.

- It is a nice feeling that we are signing a deal where we will cooperate more together and this will strengthen different areas and activities for the Member Association, Tarcala said.

Based on the survey
The agreements are based on the survey, which Badminton Europe conducts every year, and on the current situation in each of the Member Associations.

- There is a common understanding from our Member Associations that based on the survey we did in 2019 and 2020 we have identified the strengths and weaknesses of our Member Associations, and with this Memorandum of Understanding, we would like to develop, help and support the MAs, the president stated.

A stronger Europe
The agreements are between one and four years and Peter Tarcala is confident that the European badminton family will come out stronger because of the MoU’s

- The result should be a stronger and more developed sport of badminton in Europe. That should be the result of all the projects, and I strongly believe that this will be the result. The Member Associations are ready to sign, they are working and communicating with us, so I am sure that the work, which will be done in the next years will result in a much stronger field of the way we work and present our sport.

- Everybody wants to develop and get better, and in my opinion, this is the only way you can do it, Tarcala said.
