The badminton team finals at the European Universities Games unfolded in the middle of the day with intense matches on the 27 of July.
On the podium, two teams stood at the third place: Gdansk University of Technology (POL) and Technological University of Dublin (IRL). The University of Strasbourg (FRA) took the lead and won gold trophy while the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding (UKR) stood at the second place of the podium.
At the competition, giving their best to secure a place among the first three but also to have fun and to experience great matches in the biggest university sports event in Europe in 2022 were 19 teams competing in group stages in four groups of four teams, and one group of three teams. It was a great sight to see, the great efforts for scores, the fair play, the competitive spirit, the intensity of the matches, and the smiles on the faces of the athletes.
The EUG2022 badminton competition will continue at Zatoka Sportu for three more days with the singles competition. We expect nothing less than more great competitions, even a greater experience, and new wins.
