Shi Yu Qi from China will play his first world tour final in three years tomorrow at the Denmark Open in Odense.

The Chinese players barely participated in international tournaments since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. For Shi the Denmark Open are just his third tournament that he is playing in 2022.

Being back in a world tour final after such a long break is simply an amazing comeback story.

In tomorrow's men's singles final Shi will face Lee Zig Jia from Malaysia who defeated Loh Kean Yew (Singapore) 21-18 21-15 in the semifinals.

"Everyone is tired after this week. I think it depends who is mentally stronger", said the Malaysian All England winner from 2021.
