The main draw at the ORLEN Polish Open 2023 kicked off with some great matchups today. All of them can be followed live on

It is already the third day of badminton action in Tarnów, Poland, but due to a huge field of qualification players, the main draw just started today at noon.
One European player started his Polish Open campaign with a big upset: Felix Burestedt from Sweden took out the number one seed Sai Praneeth from India 19-21, 21-19, 21-18 in the opening round of the men's singles category.
The number two seeded mixed doubles pair Mihajlo Tomic and Angela Vitman from Serbia also had a successful start to the International Challenge event. They beat Yap/Lado from England in straight games 21-17, 21-10 and were quite satisfied with their performance: "It was a good opening match. Especially in the second set, we found our rhythm and are now ready for the next matches in this tournament", said Vitman.
