The team competition of the European Universities Badminton Championship 2023 in Miskolc has come to an end on Sunday afternoon. The University of Nottingham took home the championship trophy, and they did so without losing a single match throughout the three days.

In the final of the competition that featured 16 Universities from 11 countries, held on Sunday, July 16, their opponent was the University of Warwick, but they couldn't challenge their rivals. After the mixed doubles and men's and women's singles, the result was already 3-0 in favour of Nottingham, so both teams mutually agreed not to play the remaining two matches that would not affect the final outcome.

The two losers of Saturday's semi-finals, the Technological University of Dublin from Ireland and the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding from Ukraine, received the bronze medal during the award ceremony.

The best domestic team was the University of Pécs, which lost 3-1 against the team from University of Strasbourg in the battle for the 5th place.

The medals for the third shared place were presented by Mrs. Joó Melinda, Secretary General of the Hungarian Badminton Federation, while Mr. Radomir Jovovic, Badminton Technical Delegate of the European University Sports Association and Director at Badminton Europe, presented the medals for the second place. Dr. Roland Szilágyi, Vice Rector of the University of Miskolc, presented the gold medals. The trophies were handed to the teams by Mr. Zoltán Rakaczki, member of the EUSA Executive Committee.
