EOC President Spyros Capralos explores collaboration with Badminton Europe at European Games 2023

In a momentous meeting during the European Games 2023, EOC President Spyros Capralos and Badminton Europe President Sven Serré joined forces to explore a promising collaboration between their respective organizations. During the visit to the badminton competition, both leaders acknowledged the sport's remarkable rise in popularity and discussed on its inclusion in many future EOC events, including the prestigious European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) perhaps as early as in 2025 when the EYOF is foreseen to be held in Skopje, North Macedonia.

President Capralos and President Serré engaged in fruitful discussions, emphasizing the potential benefits of integrating badminton into the EOC's diverse sporting landscape. This decision marks a significant step forward in promoting the growth of the Olympic sport and broadening its reach among the younger generation.

As the meeting concluded, President Serré expressed his gratitude for Capralos' visit, stating, "We appreciate President Capralos' presence and support for badminton's bright future. We eagerly anticipate the collaborations ahead, fostering greater sporting excellence and unity within the European community."
