An energetic and enthusiastic crowd witnessed an entertaining and well-played third day of the Denmark Open 2024. 17 European singles and doubles were in action, but for 11 of them, the second round marked the end of the road. Ben Lane and Sean Vendy delivered the match of the day, winning in a thrilling third set 23-21 after wasting six match points. The English duo left everything on the court, and after fantastic rallies and drama, they deservedly claimed victory. "Even if I only have one leg, I will still play tomorrow," Ben Lane said after the match, highlighting both the intensity of the contest and their eagerness to advance in the tournament. Tomorrow, they will face the sixth-seeded Indonesian pair of Fajar Alfian and Muhammed Ardianto, a rematch from last year, where the Englishmen were narrowly defeated 19-21, 21-19, 21-19. Jesper Toft and Amalie Magelund also had a strong showing against the young, up-and-coming Spanish pair of Ruben Garcia and Lucia Rodriguez, winning with scores of 21-15, 19-21, 21-11.
