With a 2024 lacked no action, what does 2025 hold for us? Fans will be excited to know the new year promises a full lineup of more exciting badminton events.

The BWF World Tour kicks off with a bang, featuring the PETRONAS Malaysia Open, a Super 1000 tournament that sets a high standard for the year. The action continues with the YONEX-SUNRISE India Open, followed by the rest of the Asian leg.

On the European front, the year starts in Tallinn with the YONEX Estonian International from 9 to 12 January. This International Series tournament is just the beginning of a bustling schedule on the European Circuit.

The first quarter of the year pauses briefly for the continental team championships, headlined for us by the 2025 European Mixed Team Championships in Baku. Post-championships, the focus shifts back to the European leg of the tour. This opens in Germany with the YONEX German Open, a Super 300 event in Mülheim an der Ruhr, and continues with the Orléans Masters Badminton 2025 presented by VICTOR.

One of the highlights of the European leg and the spring season is the iconic YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships, a tournament of history and prestige. As the Spain Masters is cancelled, the YONEX Swiss Open will cap off the European leg, while in the European Circuit we’ll be having the Polish Open as one of the highlights, an International Challenge event in Łódź from 19 to 23 March.

As summer approaches, the tour heads back to Asia with the Taipei Open, the TOYOTA Thailand Open, and the Singapore Badminton Open, concluding with the Indonesia Open, another Super 1000 event, in Jakarta.

May also brings us to Denmark for the STATE Denmark Challenge 2025 presented by RSL in Farum. A highlight of the month will certainly be the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2025 in Xiamen, China, where national mixed teams from all around the globe will battle for the title of world’s best.

With such a packed schedule for the first half of the year, 2025 is shaping up to be another fun year for badminton fans around the world. Are you ready?
