The DAIHATSU Indonesia Masters 2025 saw a historic Thai triumph as Kunlavut Vitidsarn and Ratchanok Intanon claimed both singles titles.
Vitidsarn’s historic victory
World Champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn battled past Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie in a thrilling final (18-21, 21-17, 21-18), becoming the first Thai men’s singles winner at the event.
“Christie is a top player, so I focused on enjoying the match. After my early India Open exit, I didn’t expect this win,” said Vitidsarn to BWF.
Intanon first title of 2025
Ratchanok Intanon ended a 10-month wait for a title, defeating Sim Yu Jin 21-18, 21-17.
“This gives me motivation. My fitness is improving, and I feel positive about returning to the top eight,” she said.
Eyes on home glory
Both stars now turn their focus to the PRINCESS SIRIVANNAVARI Thailand Masters 2025, starting January 28, where they aim to perform again to their maximum ability to thrill their home fans.
