Badminton Europe is delighted to announce the confirmation of the host cities and dates for the 2026 European Championships and the 2025 European U17 Championships, following the official signing of the agreement with the Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA).
Huelva to Host the 2026 European Championships
The prestigious European Championships will take place at Palacio de Deportes Carolina Marín, Huelva, Spain, from April 6 to 12, 2026. This marks another significant milestone for Spanish badminton, with Huelva reinforcing its status as a major hub for international badminton, having previously hosted the 2021 BWF World Championships and the 2018 European Championships.
Lanzarote Welcomes the 2025 European U17 Championships
The next generation of badminton stars will compete at the 2025 U17 European Championships, which will be held at Palacio de Deportes de Arrecife, Lanzarote, from November 29 to December 7, 2025.
The U17 Championships will follow the U15 European Championships held last year in Suwałki, Poland, giving badminton enthusiasts an opportunity to see if any of the rising stars from U15 can carry the mantle into the U17 competition. The event will consist of both an individual tournament and a team tournament, marking the earliest stage in a player's career where they will compete at the European level as part of their national badminton teams.
A Strong Partnership for European Badminton
The agreement between Badminton Europe and FESBA underscores the commitment to growing badminton in Spain and across Europe.
With the confirmation of these two major championships, badminton fans can look forward to high-level competition and an electrifying atmosphere in Spain in the coming years. Stay tuned for further updates and details on these exciting events!
