The countdown is officially on – in just one week, Europe’s top badminton stars will be in Horsens, Denmark, for the 2025 European Championships.
From Tuesday 8 to Sunday 13 April, Forum Horsens will host six days of top-level action as the continent’s best compete across five events – men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Located near Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city, Horsens will become the centre of European badminton for one exciting week.
Held annually, except during European Games years, the European Championships are one of the sport’s greatest events. This year promises an amazing line-up, although three-time champion and eight-time medallist Viktor Axelsen will sadly not be part of it. The Danish athlete, seeded second, has withdrawn from the event as well as the Sudirman Cup, announcing last week that he will undergo back surgery after revealing during the All England that he needed a break from the courts.
Even with his absence, fans can still expect top-level badminton with a strong line-up of European stars ready to compete for the titles. You can see the full seeds and draw
