The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has announced the list of nominees for the BWF Council Elections 2025, scheduled to take place on April 26 during the 86th BWF Annual General Meeting.
Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul from Thailand, the current Deputy President, is the sole nominee for the position of BWF President.
There are four nominees for the position of BWF Deputy President, three of whom are from Europe:
Etienne Thobois (France)
Kevin Scott (Scotland)
Robbert de Kock (Switzerland)
For the position of BWF Vice President Para Badminton, there are two nominees, both Europeans, the candidates are Richard Perot (France) and the current Vice President, Paul Kurzo (Switzerland).
For the 20 vacant seats on the BWF Council, 30 nominees have been announced, with strong representation from Europe:

The elections will be held in conjunction with the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals, scheduled for April 27 to May 4, 2025.
