For the past five years, Badminton Europe and the Danish company Uni-Damp have collaborated, and we are now pleased to announce that this partnership has been extended for another five years.
Since 1989, Uni-Damp has specialized in the optimal storage of shuttlecocks through humidification.
For more than 35 years, Uni-Damp has supplied hygro-boxes to Danish badminton clubs. Thanks to their high quality and market position, Uni-Damp is well-represented in Danish badminton, providing equipment to over 600 clubs. The company’s strategy reaches beyond Denmark’s borders, and Badminton Europe is a strong partner in this regard. As Uni-Damp’s CEO, Per Sahlertz, says, “The partnership with Badminton Europe is incredibly important to us.” Uni-Damp is already present in several European countries, but the hope is that the collaboration will help them reach even more clubs and countries.
The partnership also includes Uni-Damp supplying equipment to Badminton Europe’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) to ensure the center maintains the highest quality of shuttlecocks.
Moreover, the collaboration aligns perfectly with Badminton Europe’s strategic plan to make badminton more sustainable. Uni-Damp contributes to this goal by ensuring shuttlecocks last longer and maintain higher quality during play. As General Secretary of Badminton Europe Brian Agerbak, states, “We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Uni-Damp, which we see as a key element in our efforts to make the sport more sustainable.”
